I play a variety of different Japanese games (typically with English translations) and occasionally I write reviews. The idea isn’t to be the definitive end-all be-all of game sites or game reviews, it’s essentially just a brain dump of my impressions of a particular game.
What I tend to review falls into several categories.
Story: the actual content of the game. The game is a story, and I like to talk about how I feel about the story in particular. Character impressions also are included.
Menus: The interface for the game is just as crucial: is it easy to move around in? Save? Is it intuitive?
Patch/ Patching: I don’t read Japanese well, so most of my games are industry-translated or fan-patched. Some patches are difficult to install, others are downright complicated/ confusing. I don’t (and won’t) provide support for the games or patches, so don’t ask.
My reviews likely won’t follow any particular scheme or format, but I may rewrite some of my older reviews to fall within this scheme for consistiency.
